Black Tea Kenya, on the Eastern coast of Africa, is the world's third largest producer and exporter of Black tea that is renowned worldwide. Kenya being so close to the equator enjoys tea production all year round. The country is endowed with tropical, volcanic red soil and well-distributed rainfall and the main feature that makes Kenya so ideal for tea growing is the rich highlands of Kenya where tea is grown. We do not blend our tea with any other tea form other countries and provide you pure 100% Natural Kenyan Tea selected from the finest equatorial gardens. Kenyan teas are famous for their brightness, attractive colur, brisk flavour, textures and delicate and fragrant aroma. Unlike wine which improves with age tea rapidly absorbs moisture when exposed to air resulting in a gradual loss of quality from time of packing to consumption, hence our tea bags are each hermetically sealed at source to enable you to brew and enjoy the best cup of tea in the world. Tea has long been considered a health-enhancing beverage. Tea is a natural drink that contains no additives, preservatives or artificial colouring and is cholesterol free when taken without milk or sugar. Research shows that tea contains polyphenols or flavonoids, which have powerful anti-oxidant properties which could reduce risk of developing certain cancers, heart and dental diseases. Kenyan Black tea is carefully selected from small scale tea farms in Kenya. Most of the black tea comes from Kenya Tea Packers Limited(KETEPA). Ketepa is a factory owned by farmers. Over 360,000 tea farmers derive their lively hood from growing tea in Kenya and Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA) owns 70% of Ketepa on behalf of these small scale farmers. At Ketepa all the tea is handpicked and only the top 2 leaves and the bud are picked ensuring you get the best cup if tea.
